These terms are the rules for using Polaris Chat, including our homepage and accounts. By using Polaris Chat, you agree to them. We’ve kept them short.

What Polaris Chat is

Polaris Chat is run by TheBurritoLion (“we” and “us” in these terms). It brings livestream chat and community activity from different platforms into one calm, read-only view. It never posts or acts for you.

Polaris Chat is in preview, and accounts are free. You can watch the public chat preview on our homepage without an account, or create a free account to get a personal workspace. You can connect your Twitch account and your YouTube channel to see your own live chat there. You can also connect your Kick account and your X account; their live chat is coming next. Features may change while we build.

Connecting YouTube uses YouTube API Services. By connecting it, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Your account

  • You must be 13 or older to create an account.
  • Give accurate details when you sign up, including an email address that’s yours.
  • One account per person, and one person per account. Don’t create extra accounts, share your account or sign in as someone else.
  • Keep your password safe. If you think someone else has used your account, reset your password and contact us.

Acceptable use

Please use Polaris Chat fairly. Don’t:

  • break the law, or use Polaris Chat to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
  • try to get into accounts or data that aren’t yours;
  • disrupt Polaris Chat, get around its security or limits, or overload it with automated requests or sign-ups;
  • use Polaris Chat to break the rules of Twitch, YouTube, Kick, X or any other platform, including by collecting or reusing chat content.

The public chat preview

The homepage preview shows public chat and activity from Twitch, YouTube and Kick. Other people write that content; we don’t control it and aren’t responsible for it. Featuring a creator doesn’t mean they or their platform endorse Polaris Chat, or that we endorse them.

The YouTube part of the preview uses YouTube API Services. By using it, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Our Privacy notice explains how we handle preview data.

A preview, provided as is

To the extent the law allows, Polaris Chat is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties or guarantees of any kind. It may change, have errors or be unavailable, and live chat may be delayed or incomplete. We may change or stop the preview at any time.

Suspending or deleting accounts

We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or Polaris Chat at risk.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Deleting it is permanent: your account and your workspace are removed and can’t be recovered. If you can’t delete it there, contact us. Our Privacy notice explains what account information we keep.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Polaris Chat changes. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If you keep using Polaris Chat after an update, the updated terms apply.
